Those of you who have worked with me as clients, know that I focus on a mild modified keto program🥗limiting Carbohydrates. Carbohydrates give your body energy, but too much can increase your cholesterol levels, which is an inflammatory disease. As result, your liver thinks it’s time to make more cholesterol. Carbohydrates are mainly found in plant🥦foods. They also occur in dairy🧀products in the form of a milk sugar called lactose. Foods high in carbohydrates include🍞bread, 🍝pasta, beans, 🥔potatoes, 🍚rice, and 🥣cereals. Note: Carbohydrates are processed in the body as sugar and every 4 carbs is a teaspoon of sugar..
The liver is important to all metabolic processes in the body. In the processing of carbohydrates, the liver helps to ensure that the level of sugar in your blood stays constant. If your blood sugar levels increase, for example after a meal, the liver removes sugar from blood and stores it in the form of glycogen.
Eating sugar and other carbohydrates raises triglycerides and lowers HDL. The liver makes more LDL while lowering the amount of HDL in your body. The extra calories from a sugary diet also leads to more of something called triglycerides, a type of blood fat that plays a role in your cholesterol health… If you really have high cholesterol then you may be on your way to developing metabolic syndrome.
So, Do not freak😵out… your cholesterol might not be at a bad level. Looking at your total😲 Cholesterol doesn’t really give you much information on predicting heart❤️disease. Recently stated by the American Heart ❤️Association on new guidelines about cholesterol.
Your liver makes cholesterol, and your body needs cholesterol. You need cholesterol for the body to make hormones, cell membranes, bile to help you digest fat, and Vitamin D. When we take statins to lower cholesterol it produces a lot of side effects that affect the functions stated above. I have attached a📺 video… Dr. Berg has a good explanation of how to decipher your cholesterol lab results using his own wife’s report.
This will calm your fears…. If after this 📺video, and you have the advanced test done, is there a way to improve your Cholesterol? Of Course!!! 🥰
🥰I help my ✨clients with a mild modified keto program. This program addresses metabolic syndrome conditions. (Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions that occur together. These increase your risk of heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.) These conditions also can be associated with: increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or✨ triglyceride levels. ✨
